Yesterday (Thursday, July 23), Peggy Van Witt, a conservator from Overland Park, began cleaning Robert Motherwell's painting "Les Caves," which is on view in the Beren Gallery on the second floor of the Ulrich Museum of Art. The public is invited to watch her work from 9 a.m. to noon today (Friday, July 24). Van Witt will remove small surface stains that have accumulated on the painting after years of constant display.
