Webinar offered on 'Microcredentialing and Digital Badges'

The Office of Academic Affairs and Office for Workforce, Professional and Community Education are hosting a webinar on "Microcredentialing and Digital Badges" from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, in 262 RSC. The webinar is free and open to the campus community.

Micro-credentials and badges are designed for nontraditional, non-degree seeking students who are already in the workforce looking to further their careers with specific skill sets. Badges allows students to showcase the skills they have learned -- and mastered -- beyond conventional classroom grading schemes. This webinar is an opportunity for faculty and staff to explore new alternative approaches to assessing and recognizing learning, while allowing students to demonstrate their competencies.
