* Town Hall meetings on promotion for non-tenure track faculty will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 17) in 116 Ablah Library, and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in 126 Clinton Hall.

* Department chairs, budget officers, administrative assistants, executive assistants and college business managers are invited to attend the Administrative Processes & Procedures Q&A session starting at 2:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 17) in 211 Hubbard Hall. * An artist talk by Rodney McMillian will be held at 6:15 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 17) in the CAC Theater. A reception preceding the talk will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Ulrich Museum of Art.

* The Office of Human Resources Total Rewards team will present select viewings on-campus of the State Employee Health Plan Webinars about the 2018 HealthQuest Rewards Program. * Hear Phyllis Bennis speak at the 72nd United National Anniversary Banquet at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, in 233 RSC. Tickets are $35 and $10 for students. Bennis will talk on "U.S. Foreign Policy, Wars and Terrorism: ISIS abroad, Islamaphobia at home." Bennis is a fellow of the Institute of Policy Studies in Washington, D.C.

* The Research Compliance Office will hold a come-and-go open lab from 9-11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday Oct. 18) in 215 Devlin Hall Innovation Hub. This is an open lab and no registration is required.

* M'Balia Thomas, assistant professor in KU's School of Education, will present her "Space, Place, & Race in Antoine Dodson's 'Bed Intruder:' A Stylistic Analysis" at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 18) in 208 Hubbard Hall. The talk is part of the Language and Linguistics Colloquium Series.

* Student Activities Council is hosting their annual Arts & Crafts Fair from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 14-15, in the RSC. WSU faculty / staff have the opportunity to sell original artwork, designs and handmade items. Registration for the event for faculty / staff is $42 and includes table space for two days and marketing. If you participate, you must have staffing both days for the entire time.
