Philadelphia Christian Academy wins Kansas BEST titles

Philadelphia Christian Academy won the BEST Award and Game Award at the 19th annual Kansas BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) event at Charles Koch Arena today (Saturday, Oct. 14). BEST is designed to inspire and motivate students toward careers in engineering, science and technology.

Kansas BEST is sponsored by Wichita State University's College of Engineering.

Teams advancing to the Regional Competition hosted by the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith at the Fort Smith Convention Center on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2, are Philadelphia Christian Academy, Valley Center High School, Circle High School, Wichita Homeschool, Augusta High School, Council Grove High School, Campus High School and Rock Creek High School.

BEST Award

The BEST Award is based on a project notebook, oral presentation, table display, interviews, and overall spirit and sportsmanship. The Game Award is based on the robot scoring points in the game competition.
