Walter T. Giele, with Fermilab Theory Division in Illinois, will present "High Performance Computing for Event Generators at the LHC," at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 18) in 128 Jabara Hall. In this talk, part of the fall Physics Seminar, Giele will discuss the recently developed multi-core version of the MCFM parton level event generator for Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order calculations. The Physics Seminar is supported by the Eddy and April Lucas Fund in Wichita.
