* Wage & Hour Training is being provided from 3-4:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 19) in 231 Hubbard Hall. This highly specialized training is designed for timekeepers, admins and supervisors who deal with timekeeping issues, and has been updated to include new guidance. * Campus departments -- bring out your creative side and decorate your door in the annual door decorating contest for Shocktoberfest 2017. * A Graduate School Professional Development event Mastering Literature Reviews, co-sponsored by Ablah Library, will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, in 266 RSC.
* Faculty artist Carmen Lemoine, professor of flute and principal flute of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, appears as soloist with the WSU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 19) in Miller Concert Hall. * The Office of Research invites you to improve your grant-writing skills at a brown bag workshop, "Writing Proposals & Responding to an RFP," from noon-1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 20) in 405 Jardine Hall. Come to this workshop for hand-on approaches to improving proposals and responses to Request for Proposals, for a variety of funders. Registration is requested through myWSU myTraining.
