Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* Faculty and staff will be recognized for attaining milestone years of service in events to be held today (Friday, Oct. 27). The events are by invitation only. A list of honorees is posted at http://www.wichita.edu/serviceawards. Please take time to acknowledge and celebrate those who are serving with us and have reached a service milestone.

* Duplication Station in Morrison Hall will be closed on Monday, Oct. 30, to receive new equipment and training. Please plan your printing needs accordingly.

* Cox Communications is proud to bring the all-new C-SPAN Bus to WSU as part of a 14-month 50 Capitals Tour during which it will visit all 50 state capitals. Students, faculty and staff are invited to check out the new bus during its stop from 9:30-11:30 a.m. today (Friday, Oct. 27) in front of Ahlberg Hall.

* Just in time for Halloween, the WSU School of Performing Arts Music Theatre Program will present the Broadway sci-fi musical "Little Shop of Horrors" at 7:30 p.m. today (Friday, Oct. 27) and Saturday, Oct. 28, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in Wilner Auditorium. * On Monday, Oct. 30, 150 stalls in lot 2W between Koch Arena and Hillside will be blocked off until about 3 p.m.

* WSU Parking offers text alerts to ePermit holders. Text alerts will notify you if you receive a parking warning or citation as well as notifying you of lot closures. A citation for parking in a reserved lot for men's basketball is $150. WSU Parking encourages you to log in to your ePermit account and add your cell phone number and wireless carrier to receive these helpful alerts.

* Join the Council for University Women (CUW) from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, for a tasting of delicious wines, paired with unique hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and bid on purses at the silent auction. All auction proceeds benefit the CUW scholarship fund. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. * Student Activities Council is recruiting organizations to participate in the Fall 2017 Finals Frenzy Week. Finals Frenzy takes place each semester during finals week to reduce stress through educational and entertaining programs.
