Reminders, deadlines and events
* The 22nd Annual Pumpkin Run has become a great tradition on our campus, and benefits Zach's Wishes 4 Miracles! On Saturday, Oct. 21, access on some campus roads will be limited for the race. Expect some delays between 8:30-10 a.m. until all roads are completely reopened.
* On Saturday, October 21st, Future Health Care Professionals (FHCP) is hosting a book fair all day at the Barnes and Noble on Rock Road. A percentage of all purchases made at this location and online will be donated to FHCP. From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., FHCP will have a table set up advertising our organization and encouraging customers to help us fundraise.
* WSU Ventures at Wichita State is pleased to announce the recipients of its annual Innovation Awards, which will be presented at a university-wide recognition ceremony at 3 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 24, in Shirley Beggs Ballroom, RSC. * The Undergraduate Student Research and Creative Activity Grants Program invite you to visit our Undergraduate Researchers Wanted page at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5939. This page lists professors and projects actively seeking undergraduate students to assist. If you find a research project and would like to apply for funding as an undergraduate researcher, apply at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?5940 for a grant for up to $1,000 through our program.
* Hundreds of WSU students receive scholarships from private donations every year. For our donors, nothing is more valued than a simple note of thanks. To show our appreciation, the WSU Foundation will host its first #GratiTuesday, an event for students to write handwritten thank you notes to our wonderful donors. All scholarship recipients are invited to attend. Come write a short note, take a photo, grab some snacks and show your #GRATITUDE between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in 233 RSC. Questions? * Organize a team of three-to-five of your best friends for a game of 3 on 3 basketball on Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Heskett Center.
