Just in time for Halloween, the WSU School of Performing Arts Music Theatre Program will present the Broadway sci-fi musical "Little Shop of Horrors" with book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26-Saturday, Oct. 28, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, in Wilner Auditorium. Based on the low budget 1960 black comedy film by the same name, the musical tells the story of meek flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn who, after a total eclipse of the sun, discovers a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II." This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivorous plant promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn. But fame and fortune come at a very high cost. Tickets are $20 for the general public, $18 for military / senior citizens, faculty and staff, and $10 for students, with free admission for students with a WSU ID.
