* Learn more about SMGT 552 Study Abroad in Global Sport Industry during an information session at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 2) in 207 Heskett Center. * Social Work Friday will be held for new, prospective and current social work students from 9:30-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in Lindquist Hall.
* A free Adult CPR / AED Clinic for students, faculty, staff and Innovation Campus employees will be offered at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in 134 Heskett Center. The clinic will be conducted by Frank Rokosz, associate professor of Human Performance Studies.
* The Graduate School has announced a Friday, Nov. 10, submission deadline for Capitol Graduate Research Summit (CGRS) abstracts. Students who have research that is relevant to the state of Kansas have an opportunity to present a poster on their "hot topic" at the Capitol in Topeka on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Cash prizes are awarded! * The online Banner schedule search and student registration system has been updated! The Registration Tools portal channel on the myClasses tab has links that will take students to a system landing page. From this page, the class schedule listings can be searched and the new and improved registration can be accessed. Registration for spring 2018 opens on Monday, Nov. 13, so now is the time to use the system and plan your spring schedule. * Did you grow up speaking Spanish at home or in your community? We have a Spanish class just for you! The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures will offer its Spanish heritage language (SHL) course for the second time in the spring 2018 semester. There are no prerequisites for the course; you just have to be bilingual. Spanish Grammar and Composition for Heritage Speakers (SPAN 221) will meet from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in 111 Lindquist Hall. * Wichita State and Newman University will stage a men's basketball charity exhibition game at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Charles Koch Arena. Proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross to benefit hurricane and other disaster relief efforts. WSU students will have access to their regular allotment of free tickets.
