Kavya Natesan and Dane Laughlin were named winners of the WSU Student of the Year competition on Oct. 27. Each will receive a $650 scholarship. The other six finalists will each receive $300 scholarships.

Natesan is a senior pursuing a degree in biology with a pre-med emphasis while majoring in chemistry and philosophy. Laughlin is a senior in the pre-med biomedical engineering program with a minor in chemistry and biology.
