Reminders, deadlines and events
* Wichita State will officially unveil its new state-of-the-art professional production space -- Shocker Studios -- at an open house noon-5 p.m. today (Friday, Nov. 3) at 3805 E. Harry St.
* Shocker-Ruck Share the Burden is a 1.25 mile event that involves military / veteran members of WSU's student population and any students, faculty or other individuals who wish to participate. The event will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Heskett Center and will take place around Perimeter Road. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/KS/Wichita/ShockerRuck
* The Wichita State women's basketball team will host Southwest Baptist at 1 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 4) followed by the Wichita State men hosting Henderson State at 5 p.m. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267). Admission is free for students with a WSU ID.
* Come with your questions and get assistance completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov, 7, in the Innovation Hub in 215 Devlin Hall. This is an open lab and no registration is required.
* The 2018-19 FAFSA launched on Oct. 1, and is available for students to complete. In order for students to be eligible for additional need-based grant aid, the Office of Financial Aid will need their completed FAFSA by Wichita State's Friday, Dec. 1, first priority date. Students can apply at http://www.fafsa.gov.
* The online Banner schedule search and student registration system has been updated! The Registration Tools portal channel on the myClasses tab has links that will take students to a system landing page. From this page, the class schedule listings can be searched and the new and improved registration can be accessed. Registration for spring 2018 opens Monday, Nov. 13, so now is the time to use the system and plan your spring schedule. * The Service-Learning Showcase is for students who participate in service-learning through applied learning opportunities to showcase their experience through a research or reflective poster about the application of their course work to current community issues.
