Reminders, deadlines and events

* Rizvana Bradley, assistant professor of Film and Media Studies and African American Studies at Yale University, will give a lecture at 6:15 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 6) in the CAC Theater. A reception will precede the lecture at 5:30 p.m. at the Ulrich Museum. Admission is free.

* Wichita State and Newman University will stage a men's basketball charity exhibition game at 7 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 6) at Charles Koch Arena.

* Come with your questions and get assistance completing an IP disclosure form for your ideas, technology, curriculum, research and more from 2-4 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov, 7) in the Innovation Hub in 215 Devlin Hall. This is an open lab and no registration is required.

* Bill Faflick, KSHSAA (Kansas State High School Activities Association) executive director elect will present "Getting Back in the Game: Interscholastic Activity Opportunities for College Students" at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 7) in 100 Lindquist Hall. A social will precede the talk at 6 p.m. The presentation is sponsored by the Human Performance Studies Department.

* Join Community Service Board and the Office of International Education for a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in 233 RSC. This is a great opportunity for domestic students, faculty and staff to share their Thanksgiving traditions with our international students. Tickets are $5 for WSU students and $10 for WSU faculty and staff. * Senior capstone students in the Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) are supporting the recently implemented Tobacco-Free Campus Policy at WSU by providing tobacco Quit Kits to students seeking cessation services through WSU Student Health Services. Quit Kits contain tools to support efforts to stop using tobacco and are free for students beginning today (Monday, Nov. 6). To schedule a tobacco cessation appointment or to learn more about purchasing tobacco cessation products, contact WSU Student Health Services at 978-3620. * Join our biggest fitness challenge of the semester -- the F45 playoffs on Friday, Nov. 10. Test your fitness ability in this 10-minute circuit to crown WSU's top athlete.
