Reminders, deadlines and events

* Protect yourself and everyone else this fall and get your free flu shot through Student Health Services. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will host a Flu Clinic from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 8) in 208 RSC, so stop by for your free vaccination.

* The WSU Opera Theater and WSU Symphony Orchestra will perform "L 'Elisir d'Amore" at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 9) and Saturday, Nov. 11, in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. Students get in free with a WSU ID.

* Stop by the University Bookstore from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 8) and Thursday, Nov. 9, for information on class rings and to order graduation announcements, hosted by CB Graduation Announcements / Balfour.

* WSU students can pick up free men's basketball tickets as long as they're available for the game against the College of Charleston on Monday, Nov. 13, in Charles Koch Arena. Current students can claim a free ticket to each home game by presenting their valid Shocker Card (multiple student IDs will not be accepted) at the Shocker Ticket Office (southwest corner of Koch Arena), University Bookstore or Heskett Center.

* Brown Bag BINGO is not about finding a prize in a brown bag. It's about bringing your lunch in a brown bag and joining SAC as you play traditional BINGO for prizes, ranging from laundry supplies to snacks and much more from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in 142 RSC.

* International Business Studies Association (IBSA) will host a Trivia Night from 6:30-9 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 9) in 258 RSC. The event is free and open to all WSU students. There will be prizes and more.

* Join our biggest fitness challenge of the semester -- the F45 playoffs on Friday, Nov. 10. Test your fitness ability in this 10-minute circuit to crown WSU's top athlete. Ten stations, 10 minutes -- will you be named champion? For more information or to register, go to the guest service desk in the Heskett Center.

* The Graduate School has a Friday, Nov. 10, submission deadline for Capitol Graduate Research Summit (CGRS) abstracts. Students who have research that is relevant to the state of Kansas have an opportunity to present a poster on their "hot topic" at the Capitol in Topeka on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Cash prizes are awarded. * Join Community Service Board and the Office of International Education for a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in 233 RSC. Tickets are $5 for WSU students, and are available in Student Involvement, 216 RSC, and Office of International Education in Garvey International Center.
