Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* Come to the RSC for some early holiday shopping at the annual Arts & Crafts Fair from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 15) on the RSC 1st floor.

* The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Center for Scientific Review provides helpful webinars on applying for NIH grant opportunities. Registration is required for this NIH On-Demand Webinar from noon-1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 15) in 405 Jardine Hall. Register online through MyTraining. Please bring your lunch to this brown bag workshop. Tea, water and dessert will be provided.

* The Language and Linguistics Colloquium Series will feature an Undergraduate Student Panel on Constructed Languages at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 15) in 208 Hubbard Hall. This event is free.

* The English Department Speaker Series is hosting a research talk by Michael Behrens at 4 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 16) in 258 RSC. His talk will focus on the work of Catharine Trotter Cockburn and is titled "Conversion and Courtship in the Early Enlightenment."

* International Education week is now to Friday, Nov. 17. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/IEWeek for all the week's events.

* Applications for employee, spouse and dependent tuition assistance are being accepted for the spring semester, subject to availability of funds. Awards will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The application be submitted electronically to tuitionassistance@wichita.edu rather than by hard copy. * WSU's Blackboard Learn environment will undergo scheduled maintenance between 11 p.m.-5 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, and Sunday, Nov. 19. During that window, Blackboard anticipates some interruption in service. Instructors and students should not plan to use Blackboard during that time. If you have questions or issues, contact the OneStop for Blackboard Support.
