Recently, the Office of Admissions hosted the top 10 percent of high school juniors from across the state for the Shocker Honors Scholar Reception. Nearly 600 people participated in an academic and student life open house, heard from faculty member Dotty Harpool and student ambassador Camille Buranday, and enjoyed refreshments. The students received a certificate of honor and a specially designed pennant to recognize and celebrate their achievement.
Because of the growing interest of WSU among the students in the Kansas City area, we also host a separate Shocker Honors Scholar Reception in the spring for the top 10 percent of high school juniors from the area.
