* The holidays are just around the corner, and GoCreate, A Koch Collaborative, is offering gift-making workshops for members and the public during November and December. * The campus post office is selling letters from Santa now until Friday, Dec. 15. Letters will be sent to Santa Claus, Indiana, for a pictorial postmark, and then forwarded to the address you put on the envelope. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6050 for samples of pictures and pictorial postmark.
* Balancing school, work and family can make life stressful sometimes. Mental Health Positivity is an event from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, on the first floor, RSC, dedicated to educating Shockers on the importance of positive mental health. Come make free kindness notes to pass on to those around you while learning different ways to deal with anxiety from fellow peers and the Counseling and Testing Center. This is a free event.
* The 2017 Fall Commencement ceremony will be held Sunday, Dec. 17. The Commencement Office is looking for individuals who are available to work from about noon-5 p.m. that day. * Applications for employee, spouse and dependent tuition assistance are being accepted for the spring semester, subject to availability of funds. Awards will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. The application should be submitted electronically to tuitionassistance@wichita.edu rather than by hard copy.
