Reminders, deadlines and events
* The WSU Symphony Orchestra presents an evening of film music at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 28) in Miller Concert Hall. The concert will include selections by John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. The program will also feature a screening of Buster Keaton's silent comedy "The General" with live orchestra accompaniment. Admission is free for students with a WSU ID.
* As we near graduation in December, the Office of Financial Aid will host two Student Loan Repayment Workshops from noon-1 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, in 319 RSC. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about their loan repayment options. Email finaid@wichita.edu to register.
* Join us and celebrate the photographic work of Derby's own talent, John Gabor, in the Art Show at WSU South from 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. now to Thursday, Nov. 30. Admission is free. Gabor will be on hand to meet with visitors from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28.

* Mark your calendar for Demo Day from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Experiential Engineering Building, to hear exciting presentations from local entrepreneurs in celebrating the culmination of LaunchPrep. Food and drinks will be provided.
* Starting today (Monday, Nov. 27) get a free WSU bear from the University Bookstore! Spend $75 in store or online at wsubooks.com and get a cuddly, Shocker friend (while supplies last). Limit one bear per customer.
* Welcomefest takes place during the first two weeks of classes each semester and features dozens of activities. The deadline to submit events for inclusion in all Welcomefest marketing is by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1.
