* The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department welcomes all to the Senior Design Fall Showcase at 9:30 a.m. today (Friday, Dec. 1) in the Experiential Engineering Building main lobby.

* Faculty on the tenure track who submitted an RSVP are invited to a panel discussion, hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs, on how to successfully navigate the tenure process at WSU. The panel discussion will be held from noon-1 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 1) in 238 RSC.

* The Office of Human Resources (HR) will be closed from 11:15 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 1) for a holiday event. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

* It's time for the 2nd annual Koch Innovation Challenge. Stop by and hear some two-minute elevator pitches between 9 a.m.-noon today (Friday, Dec. 1) in 107 Devlin Hall. The awards ceremony will follow at 12:30 p.m. and name the top five teams. This year we have 28 multidisciplinary teams, including students from all colleges across campus. * Grad students at the Ulrich, co-sponsored by the Graduate School and Ulrich Museum of Art, will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 1) at the Ulrich. Meet with grad students from across programs and enjoy drinks and hours d'oeuvres at the Ulrich Museum. * Nominations for Excellence Awards in Research, Creativity and Community Research are being accepted by the Office of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT) through today (Friday, Dec. 1). See the RTT website for additional details and nomination forms. Nominations must be received by Dec. 1. Submit all nominations electronically to proposals@wichita.edu or deliver to campus box 7.

* The WSU volleyball team will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championships today (Friday, Dec. 1) and Saturday, Dec. 2, in Charles Koch Arena. WSU will face Radford at 8 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 1). Kansas will face Missouri at 6 p.m. The winners of the two matches will face off at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 2). All-session advance tickets are $14 for adults and $10 for youth / seniors. At the door on Friday, if available, tickets will be $8 for adults, $6 youth / seniors, and $2 for college students.
