* New and experienced Banner Schedule Builders and Department Chairs are invited to attend the upcoming Summer and Fall 2018 Schedule Building Training sessions presented by the University Registrar's Office and Applications Training tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 5) and Wednesday, Dec. 6. Current Schedule Builders are encouraged to attend one of the Banner 9 Schedule Building Overview Sessions posted in myTraining.
* KPERS is offering quarterly KPERS and KP&F live pre-retirement webinars, with a Q&A session afterward. They'll cover the same information as their in-person spring seminars. These webinars run from Tuesday, Dec. 5, to Thursday, Dec. 7. Pre-registration is required. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6058 for more information.
* All position descriptions fully approved by Tuesday, Dec. 19, will be processed and posted to the WSU website prior to the shutdown. This early cutoff will allow the team time to finalize position descriptions and process the postings before leaving on Thursday, Dec. 21, for the holiday. Any requests for posting after Dec. 19 will be posted after the holiday shutdown on Jan. 2. Please call Human Resources at 978-5205 with any questions.
* KPERS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan is a voluntary, supplemental, retirement account open to all WSU employees. KPERS 457 will host in-person seminars at WSU about the Fundamentals of Investing on Friday, Dec. 8, and online webinars Monday, Dec. 11-Thursday, Dec. 14. * Instructional Design and Access (IDA) is hosting a series of come-and-go Blackboard and accessibility labs for all instructional staff. Join IDA at the Ablah Library's C-Space between 1-3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between now and Wednesday, Dec. 13. Bring all your Blackboard and accessibility questions and we will do our best to help. IDA can also meet with instructors individually by appointment. * The Unclassified Professional (UP) Senate invites all UPs to its fall general meeting from 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in 208 Hubbard Hall. Presenters include John Bardo, John Tomblin, Teri Hall and Judy Espinoza. Topics will include general information impacting campus, updates on campus development, the Wellness Center, policies / procedure updates and timekeeping.
* The 2017 Fall Commencement ceremony will be held Sunday, Dec. 17. The Commencement Office is looking for individuals who are available to work from about noon-5 p.m. that day. * The Barton School Dean's Ambassadors are hosting a School Supply Drive. Drop off items in our donations box in the lobby of Clinton Hall by Friday, Dec. 8.
