* The Office of Student Involvement is hosting the third of three candidates for assistant director of Student Involvement. Please join the office for the formal presentation by Matthew Carpenter of Wichita State University from 10:15-11 a.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 14) in 265 RSC. * The Housing & Residence Life (HRL) Central Office will be closed from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Dec. 14) for a holiday event. Staff will continue to be available at the front desks of both Shocker Hall and The Flats at WSU to assist student inquiries as needed.

* A dedicated KPERS 457 Deferred Compensation Plan representative will be on campus from 9 a.m.-noon Monday, Dec. 18. Are you on track for retirement readiness? * WSU will hold its fall ceremony of the 120th commencement at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, in Charles Koch Arena. Wichita State's fall commencement ceremony in Charles Koch Arena will be available via webcast. To view the ceremony, go to http://www.wichita.edu/commencement and click on "Live Commencement Streaming." The site will go live at about 2:25 p.m. Dec. 17.

* Blackboard will be upgraded on Dec. 27-28. It will be offline during this time. Please wait until after Thursday, Dec. 28, to import or copy any existing content into your spring classes to avoid unnecessary technical difficulties.

* Final grading for fall 2017 courses is open. Faculty can access the Banner 9 grading form via the Teach / Advise tab in the myWSU portal. Grades for any fall course can be entered during this grading period. Grades are due by 10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19. Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.
