On Nov. 18, a record-breaking number of students and guests attended the Distinguished Scholarship Invitational (DSI). There were 620 students who competed, and 640 parents and guests who attended, making 1,260 visitors on campus. Prior to arriving on campus, students submitted an application with several essays and an activities chart that reflected their school involvement, volunteer work and any jobs they've held. On Nov. 18, the students participated in two group activities and were observed by WSU faculty, staff and students, as well as WSU supporters. Students also had the opportunity to spend 90 minutes with faculty, staff and students from their academic college. Above are just a few pictures from the competition.
