* Get a head start on all things robotic with the 2007 hit movie "Transformers," starring Shia LaBeouf, at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Duerksen Fine Arts Center Amphitheatre. Enjoy watermelon and popcorn under the stars. Admission is free.

* WSU will host a Scholarship Information Night at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, in Marcus Welcome Center. Parents, high school seniors and high school counselors are invited to come learn about scholarship opportunities at WSU. Admissions representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

* KMUW 89.1 FM is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Woodstock. The second of a two-part special "Back to the Garden: Woodstock Remembered" will air in the Global Village timeslot at 9 p.m. today (Friday, Aug. 14). http://www.kmuw.org

* The annual Shock"HERS" Fundraiser Golf Tournament to benefit the WSU women's golf team is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 24, at Braeburn Golf Club. It's a women-only, four-person scramble with net and gross divisions. The cost is $100 per player. For more information, call Linda at 978-3362.

* The Kansas City Chiefs are offering WSU faculty and staff, family and friends and state employees an opportunity to attend a Chiefs game or full season at a discounted rate.
