First GoBabyGo Holiday Tune-up is a resounding success

The first GoBabyGo Holiday Tune-up on Saturday, Dec. 9, was a success, according to Samantha Corcoran, WSU engineering educator. Five children received new cars prior to the event and six cars were given tune-ups and new modifications. The photo above is courtesy of Shocker Ad Lab.

The new WSU GoBabyGo student organization planned and held the event as their first challenge as a group. Nearly 20 student and faculty volunteers from the WSU Physical Therapy Department participated along with nearly 20 student volunteers from the College of Engineering. In addition, there were 10 community volunteers.

The group plans to build another eight-10 cars in the spring semester.

Corcoran expressed thanks to the four donors, including sponsor Verizon, who made the event possible.
