Professional development opportunity for WSU staff

It is time to begin thinking about completion of annual performance evaluations and the development of new goals for the 2018 evaluation cycle. If goals for your employees include participation in professional development programs, consider WSU badge courses. Badges are designed for working professionals and are available in a wide array of subject areas. Go to http://badges.wichita.edu/badgecatalog for the complete badge catalog.

Badge courses range in cost from $100 for a 0.5 credit hour course to $200 for a 1.0 credit hour course, making them an affordable way for departments to stretch your training dollars. Additionally, the coursework is online so that employees can complete the coursework without leaving their office. Badges have a partially open term of enrollment that allows employees to begin and complete spring semester coursework anytime between Jan. 16 and May 11. This allows employees to work around project deadlines and other commitments.

As a reminder, badges are for non-degree bound students only. Degree-bound employees are not eligible to take a badge course.
