* WSU will hold its fall ceremony of the 120th commencement at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, in Charles Koch Arena. The ceremony will be available via webcast at about 2:25 p.m. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/commencement and click on "Live Commencement Streaming." * Textbook Buyback at the University Bookstore -- Bring in your gently-used textbooks now to Saturday, Dec. 16, during normal hours of operation to receive cash for your books. Rental books are due back by Tuesday, Dec. 19, with a late fee charged after that date. A valid Shocker ID is required for all buyback transactions.

* Bring your dog to the Wiedemann Natatorium in the Heskett Center from 10 a.m.-noon tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 16) for some fun in the pool. Dogs will enjoy splashing, swimming and fetching tennis balls. Owners are welcome to join their pets in the water. A $5 donation is suggested with proceeds going to benefit animals in need.

* The WSU Student Speech Language Hearing Association is holding a fundraiser with a book drive for the WSU Evelyn Hendren-Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 16) at Barnes and Noble in Bradley Fair. All purchases provide donations to the organization. Clinic wish lists for books will be available in the store on Saturday. The clinic also is accepting toys and games. * Are you passionate about mental health? Mind Matters works to destigmatize mental health. Join the Mind Matters Spring 2018 executive team by applying for the open treasurer position. To apply, request an application at MindMattersWSU@gmail.com. Applications are due today ( Friday, Dec. 15).

* Wichita State students who love being Shockers and want to help recruit new students are invited to apply to become Shocker Navigators. * Campus Credit Union is collecting items for Wichita Children's Home this holiday season. Donated items may be brought to our lobby from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. * Shuttle bus service will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

* Shocker Blast will be on break for the holidays and resume Friday, Jan. 12, before spring semester classes start on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Submissions are due to shockerblast@wichita.edu by noon Thursday, Jan. 11, to be considered for inclusion in the Jan. 12 edition.
