School announces name change to School of Criminal Justice

Wichita State's School of Community Affairs has announced two significant changes to increase its visibility and promote its collaboration with law enforcement and the greater Wichita community. First, the school has officially changed its name to the School of Criminal Justice to better reflect what it does and who they are.

Second, the School of Criminal Justice has moved into the new Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC), which houses training for the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office and Wichita Police recruits. This move will enhance the ability of the school to work side-by-side with law enforcement on new initiatives, research, training, technical assistance and grant applications.

Join us for the ribbon cutting and open house of the Law Enforcement Training Center from 10-11 a.m. today (Friday, Jan. 5) at 4310 E. 19th St. on the Innovation Campus. There will be tours and refreshments. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6134 to see pictures of the new facility.
