Shockers finish 7th in average volleyball attendance

The Wichita State volleyball program finished the 2017 season ranked seventh nationally in average attendance. The Shockers averaged 3,401 fans per match in 2017, which was a new school record for average attendance. It broke the record of 3,177 set in 2008. It is the ninth time that the Shockers have finished in the top-10 in national average attendance.

WSU finished with a total attendance figure of 44,216, which ranks as the second-best in school history behind the 2008 season which had 44,478 fans. The season was highlighted by two school record crowds during NCAA Tournament play. The Shockers had a school-record 7,257 fans in attendance on Dec. 1 against Radford and then broke the record the following night against Missouri with 7,258 fans.
