Media are invited to Law Enforcement Training Center open house tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 5)

Wichita State's School of Community Affairs has announced two significant changes to increase its visibility and promote its collaboration with law enforcement and the greater Wichita community. First, the school has officially changed its name to the School of Criminal Justice to better reflect what it does and who they are.

Second, the School of Criminal Justice has moved into the new Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC), which houses training for the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office and Wichita Police recruits. This move will enhance the ability of the school to work side-by-side with law enforcement on new initiatives, research, training, technical assistance and grant applications.

Media are invited to the ribbon cutting and open house of the LETC from 10-11 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 5) at 4310 E. 19th St. on WSU's Innovation Campus. There will be tours and refreshments.
