Reminders, deadlines and events
* An open lab will be offered for those involved in editing / approving the academic sections of the upcoming catalog. This come-and-go training from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, Jan. 9) in 124 Jabara Hall, is a hands-on opportunity to have questions answered. A short introduction to the software will take place during the first 30 minutes of the session. Registration is not required. If you have questions, contact lisa.fleetwood@wichita.edu. A similar session will be held from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in 124 Jabara Hall.
* With the successful affiliation between WSU and Wichita Area Technical College, the WSU Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology was created. Rather than using an acronym of this new name, the new shortened version is now officially referred to as WSU Tech.
* ThyssenKrupp Elevator Services is conducting repairs and renovations on elevator #4 at Clinton Hall beginning now to Friday, Jan. 12. The elevator will be out of service during this time. If you have any concerns, contact the Physical Plant at 978-3444.
* The women's basketball team will host Memphis at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 10) in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* WSU Office of Special Programs announces the free College Access, Retention and Success (CARS Conference) for educators, university faculty, university and school administrators and community partners of all levels from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, on the second floor, RSC. The conference will present participants with TRIO, GEAR UP and Office of Disability Services with talks ranging from "Summer Melt," to "Serving Returning Adults and Veterans." * Springfest is a kick-off for the spring semester for both student organizations and university departments. Located in the Heskett Center gym, this event acts as a way for WSU students to check out the many different organizations we have on campus, and discover the amazing resources this campus offers.
