WSU, WATC affiliation update

With the successful affiliation between WSU and Wichita Area Technical College, the WSU Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology was created. Rather than using an acronym of this new name, the new shortened version is now officially referred to as WSU Tech.

WSU Tech will be used as the primary naming convention for marketing of the new campus. Official college business, such as transcripts, diplomas and legal documentation, will use the campus' full name.

Sheree Utash, WATC president, is now a member of the WSU President's Executive Team and will transition to her new role as campus president of WSU Tech and vice president of Workforce Development for WSU on July 1.

Though Wichita State and WSU Tech are joining forces, Wichita State will remain a separate entity from WSU Tech and will continue its mission to be an essential educational, cultural and economic driver for Kansas and the greater public good.

Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
