Reminders, deadlines and events
* For the past few years, instructors who grade student submissions in Blackboard have had the Crocodoc tools available to them. However, Crocodoc has discontinued service, so their tools are no longer available. Blackboard has replaced them with a similar set of tools called New Box View, which will be turned on Tuesday, Jan. 16. From that point on, Crocodoc will not be available and grading comments made using the Crocodoc tools may not be accessible. If you have grading comments that you need to preserve (such as those associated with incomplete grades), consider printing the impacted assignments. Please send any questions to IDA@wichita.edu.
* We are experiencing a problem with course name changes for spring 2018 classes in Blackboard when materials are imported from a previous version of the course. This is a known Blackboard issue that is scheduled to be fixed this spring. * The Office of Diversity and Inclusion commemorates the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through powerful programming and partnerships on campus and in the greater Wichita community. Our office will be participating in the parade at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Christian Faith Centre, 1130 S. Broadway. We encourage those participating in the parade to wear your Shocker gear.

* The WSU Child Development Center (CDC) has an immediate opening in our Pre-kindergarten room for this school year. This room is enrolling children who will be 4-5 years old and entering Kindergarten in August 2018. For more information, contact the CDC at 978-3109.
* ThyssenKrupp Elevator Services is conducting repairs and renovations on elevator #4 at Clinton Hall today (Thursday, Jan. 11) and Friday, Jan. 12. The elevator will be out of service during this time. If you have any concerns, contact the Physical Plant at 978-3444.
* Voting is underway for the 2018 Infiniti Charity Coaches Challenge. Wichita State head coach Gregg Marshall is competing for the fifth year in a row, representing the Wichita Children's Home.
