The 2009 Convocation at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, will feature a great program. When you arrive, you'll get a participation ticket that can be redeemed after the event for a T-shirt and Pizza Hut pizza, a Pepsi product (pop or water) and ice cream bar. Use the south entrance; doors open at about 10:30 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 11 a.m. This year's program features a welcome by President Don Beggs, comments by associate professor of sociology Ron Matson, volleyball coach Chris Lamb, women's basketball coach Jody Adams and men's basketball coach Gregg Marshall, music by the WSU A Cappella Choir and the basketball band, performances by the cheer squad and dance team, recognition of the national championship bowling teams, and results of the student organization flag competition and a memories video. And remember, the food and fun are free. More information to come next week.
