* WSU Ventures will begin hosting a monthly SBIR Q&A session from 2-4 p.m. today (Thursday Jan. 18) in 163 Experiential Engineering Building. These monthly sessions allow students, faculty and staff to learn more about the U.S. government's Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs, or to ask questions about specific topics. * The Office of Research will hold a brown bag workshop on Developing Budgets: How to Avoid a Budget Battle Before a Grant Goes Out from noon-1:30 p.m. Friday Feb. 2, in 405 Jardine Hall. The workshop will cover allowable costs, WSU rates, travel, cost match, cost recover and how to build flexibility into grant budgets. Please bring your lunch. Tea, water and dessert will be provided.
