* The revised "Common Rule" for the protection of human subjects that was set to go into effect Friday, Jan. 19, has been delayed by six months. Therefore, the submission freeze is now lifted and all previous policies remain in effect until at least July 19, 2018. * The Office of Research will host a brown bag workshop "Conflicts of Interest & Time Commitments" from noon-1:30 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 23) in 405 Jardine Hall. This workshop will provide an overview of WSU policy, the disclosure process, management plans and examples of conflicts of interest from academic settings that have made headlines. Please bring your lunch. Tea, water and dessert will be served. Registration is required through myTraining.

* The Office of Student Success is hosting the Syllabus Party to help students with time management and organizing their class assignments and exams for the semester from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan. 23) in 142 RSC.

* Faculty and staff Shocker Dollars are now available for every day. Faculty and staff can purchase in $42.50 increments and are accepted at any of our dining locations on campus. We'll add $7.50 in bonus dollars to your account for every $42.50 you spend. Bonus dollars expire at the end of each semester, so use those first, but Shocker Dollars never expire as long as you are affiliated with WSU. A valid faculty / staff email or ID is required.
