A mystery performance piece that has traveled the world lands in Wichita at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in the CAC Theater. The Maze has bewildered audiences for the past decade with its innovative approach to entertainment. Led by magician Jim Munroe and magicians Stewart True and Brice Harney, the Maze pairs storytelling with stunning illusions to create a unique, memorable performance. Admission is free. The event is sponsored by the WSU Cru student organization.

In 2009, Munroe, who had become one of the most sought-after magicians in the world, received a devastating leukemia diagnosis, giving him only months to live. But when a series of circumstances and consequent bone marrow transplant saved his life, Munroe went on to turn the Maze into the leading recruiter for the National Bone Marrow Registry. Munroe speaks openly about his cancer battle throughout the show, interweaving his personal story with mystifying illusions -- explaining with his words and tricks that there is more to a story than what meets the eye.
