Reminders, deadlines, events and Shocker Blast

* Krishna Krishnan, chair and professor of Industrial, Systems and Manufacturing Engineering Department, will present his students' research on "Supply Chain Systems: Dynamicity, Uncertainty and Sustainability Robust" and "Resilient Complex Supply Chain Systems: Design and Analysis under Uncertainty." The colloquium will be held at 11 a.m. today (Friday, Feb. 2) in 211 Engineering Building.

* You're invited to the Geology Seminar from noon-1 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 2) in 101 Geology Building. Marvin Carlson, professor emeritus at the University of Nebraska, will present "Southward growth of North America in the mid-continent region."

* Interested faculty and administrators are invited to attend an information session about the upcoming special review for promotions of non-tenure track teaching faculty. The first session will be held at 2:30 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 2) in 233 RSC.

* The Wichita State women's tennis team will host matches at the indoor courts at the Wichita Country Club, 8501 East 13th St. North, this weekend. Match times are 3 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 2) vs. North Carolina State and 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, against UT-Arlington and UMKC, respectively. Admission is free.

* You're invited to attend the WSU Opera Theater presentation of "Scenes and Songs" at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Feb. 3) and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, in Wiedemann Hall. Admission is free.

* Performances by four young artists will be featured in the annual Concerto-Aria Concert by the WSU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, in Miller Concert Hall. Tickets are $12 for general admission with discounts available and can be purchased through the Fine Arts Box Office at http://www.wichita.edu/fineartsboxoffice or call 978-3233.

* Managers should submit reviews and ratings for their direct reports for the 2017-18 annual evaluations in myPerformance. This step is due Wednesday, Feb. 28. Managers should log in to myPerformance in myWSU to rate their direct reports and submit comments to support the ratings. * Applications are being sought for Wichita State's Senior Honors 2018 awards. This is considered to be one of the most prestigious honors a student can receive at WSU.
