* Performances by four young artists will be featured in the annual Concerto-Aria Concert by the WSU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 5) in Miller Concert Hall. * Professor Wilson Baldridge, chair of modern languages; Mara Alagic, associate professor of mathematics education; and Glyn Rimmington, distinguished professor of global learning, will participate on a panel discussion on "Intercultural Interactions in General and with French people," at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Olive Tree Banquet Hall. * Safe Zone LGBTQ & Ally Training will be available from 2:30-5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, in 265 RSC. The Safe Zone goal is to provide a safe and supportive network to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities at Wichita State, and to provide safe spaces on campus that are highly visible and easily identifiable. * Call for presentations for the 5th Annual Gender & Sexuality in Kansas Conference on March 30 -- We are seeking submissions of original research, training / workshops and other scholarships from any discipline from students, scholars, staff and interested others associated with a college or university in Kansas. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 25. Please consider submitting a proposal (consisting of a 200-300 word summary of your proposed presentation) and/or encourage your students and colleagues to submit proposals https://www.wichita.edu/genderconference
* Instructional Design and Access (IDA) will hold Blackboard and accessibility labs for all instructional staff all semester in Ablah Library. Come to the C-Space any time between 1-3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the spring term. New Blackboard users are also welcome.
* The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is celebrating 10 years recognizing phenomenal women at Wichita State. Individuals are encouraged to nominate females who have made a difference in their lives. To be eligible, the Phenomenal Women nominees are employees, students, faculty or staff of WSU.
