* Gerald P. Jackson from Hbar Technologies will present "Using Antimatter to Reach the Stars," at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 7) in 128 Jabara Hall. The talk is part of the Physics Seminar series.

* The Chemistry Colloquium Series will feature Oklahoma State professor Smita Mohanty at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 7) in 224 McKinley Hall. The talk is titled "Pheromone Perception: Structure and Function of Pheromone-Binding Protein."

* The women's basketball team will host UConn at 7 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 7) in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).

* Student Perception of Teaching Effectiveness (SPTE) request forms will be mailed to your department in a couple of days. * Faculty and students are invited to attend the first talk of the Spring Language and Linguistics Colloquium Series at 3 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 8) in 208 Hubbard Hall. Jane Johnson from the University of Texas at Austin will give her presentation "Reflecting on Reflection: How Community Service Becomes Service-Learning."

* The university has a hiring process that relies heavily on the search chair for elements of the process that they should not be burdened with. * Safe Zone LGBTQ & Ally Training will be available from 2:30-5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12, in 265 RSC. The Safe Zone goal is to provide a safe and supportive network to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities at Wichita State, and to provide safe spaces on campus that are highly visible and easily identifiable.
