* Professor Wilson Baldridge, chair of modern languages; Mara Alagic, associate professor of mathematics education; and Glyn Rimmington, distinguished professor of global learning, will participate on a panel discussion on "Intercultural Interactions in General and with French people," at 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at Olive Tree Banquet Hall. * Instructional Design and Access (IDA) will hold Blackboard and accessibility labs for all instructional staff all semester in Ablah Library. Come to the C-Space any time between 1-3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the spring term. New Blackboard users are also welcome.
* The College of Education and Career Development Center will host local sport and exercise organizations at the Sport and Exercise Career Fair from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb. 7) in the Heskett Center lobby.
* Faculty and students are invited to attend the first talk of the Spring Language and Linguistics Colloquium Series at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in 208 Hubbard Hall. Jane Johnson from the University of Texas at Austin will give her presentation "Reflecting on Reflection: How Community Service Becomes Service-Learning."
* The Gender & Sexuality in Kansas Conference is seeking submissions of original research, training / workshops, and other scholarships from any discipline from students, scholars, staff and interested others associated with a college or university in Kansas. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, Feb. 25. Consider submitting a proposal (consisting of a 200-300 word summary of your proposed presentation) and/or encourage your students and colleagues to submit proposals. * Sex in the Dark is a glow-in-the-dark, paneled discussion where students can feel free to ask sexual health questions and receive answers from our panel of campus experts at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in Shocker Hall Multipurpose Room.
* A Conflicts of Interest & Time Commitments research workshop will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, in 405 Jardine Hall. This is a brown bag workshop, so bring your lunch. Tea, water and dessert will be provided. Registration is required though myTraining.
