WSU Society of Public Historians to hold meeting WSU Society of Public Historians to hold meeting

The WSU Society of Public Historians will hold the first general meeting of the 2009-2010 school year on at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in Old Town (238 N. Mead). All members and any interested parties are encouraged to attend. Annual dues are only $10.

The SPH is made up of students who are interested in the various ways that history is presented to larger audiences, including museums, documentaries, historic preservation, and other venues.

Afterward will be a tour of the Final Friday art show circuit for anyone interested. The Kansas Sports Hall of Fame is also part of the Final Friday circuit and will be open from 6-9 p.m., free admission.
