Reminders, deadlines and events
* Astrophotographer Ken Naiff will speak from 2-3 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 15) in 231 Hubbard Hall. Naiff will discuss the intricacies of his artistic process and explain the deep space objects he photographs. The event is open to the entire campus and the public. Sponsored by the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College. Questions? Email honors@wichita.edu.
* Understanding the day-to-day reality of poverty is important. Join Community Service Board and participate in a poverty simulation, role-playing the lives of low-income families, including single parents, people with disabilities and senior citizens on Social Security. The task of each family is to provide for food, shelter and other necessities during four 15-minute "weeks." Spots are limited. To participate, please visit bit.ly/2GuUmk6
* Winter Olympics, Valentine's Day and engineering design are combined into one event in the Biomedical Engineering Society's "Heart Olympics." Come to the event to participate in the games, learn more about engineering design or to just eat candy! Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there -- 6 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 15) in 338 Experiential Engineering Building.
