* Keep Calm and Breathe On is a great opportunity to structure relaxation time into your week. Learn relaxation, mindfulness and meditation techniques with the overall goal of managing stress, increasing well-being and leading a healthier life. Join us on from 12:15-12:45 p.m. on Wednesdays in 257 RSC for a relaxation group led by a licensed counselor.

* Do you want to work or volunteer with food? A Food Handler's class, hosted by the city of Wichita Department of Environmental Health, will provide students with the training and certification to safely work with food. The next class is from 6-7:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 21) in 258 RSC. Participants who attend the entire class will receive a food handler's card that's valid for four years.

* The men's basketball team will host Tulane at 6:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 21) in Charles Koch Arena.

* The Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is excited to host Dr. David Voran for a lunchtime talk at 12:30 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 22) in 200 Lindquist Hall. He has a passion for using innovation to extend healthcare to low-income patients, is a practicing family physician and assistant professor at UMKC. Pizza will be provided for lunch. * NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) on Campus is continuing its Open Mic Nights this spring semester as a safe and welcoming place to share poems, songs, written work, personal stories and more with a supportive mental health community. Everyone is welcome at our next Open Mic Night at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Feb. 22) in 231 Hubbard Hall.

* Understanding the day-to-day reality of poverty is important. Join Community Service Board and participate in a poverty simulation, role-playing the lives of low-income families, including single parents, people with disabilities and senior citizens on Social Security from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, in the third floor Shirley Beggs Ballroom, RSC.

* Student Activities Council (SAC) will host world-touring DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena for "Narcos: The DEA Agents That Captured Pablo Escobar," at 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, in the Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * Applications are open for Mortar Board, a senior honor society. We value scholarship, leadership and service, and are looking for members who exemplify these qualities. To be eligible, you must have completed at least 90 credit hours by the beginning of the fall 2018 semester and have at least a 3.2 GPA. Applications are due by Friday, March 2.
