* The Philosophy Department will host Gary Hatfield from the University of Pennsylvania, from 3-5 p.m. today (Friday, March 2) in 231 Hubbard Hall. Hatfield will present "The Construction of Perceptual Experience: What Does It Mean?"
* At 11 p.m. today (Friday, March 2) through 3 a.m. Saturday, March 3, WSU's Blackboard server will experience intermittent periods of downtime as Blackboard conducts server infrastructure maintenance. Students and faculty are encouraged not to attempt logging on to Blackboard during this window. If you have questions, contact OneStop for Blackboard support.
* Enjoy an afternoon at Fairmount Park with Wichita State students, staff and faculty from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, March 3). We are uniting as a community and neighborhood family to celebrate in the park. Snacks, beverages and fun activities will be provided.

* Student Activities Council (SAC) will host world-touring DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena for "Narcos: The DEA Agents That Captured Pablo Escobar," at 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, in Hughes Metropolitan Complex. The event will feature speakers Steve Murphy and Javier Pena around whom the hit Netflix original series "Narcos" is based. Seating is general admission. * As Human Resources strives to improve processes and gain efficiency in its operations, we have updated the OHR 200 / Change of Status form. Included are two new fields for "permanent change" and "temporary change" requested by our partners in the Budget Office, as well as the addition of a drop-down menu for reason codes and enhanced logic-based choices in the selection boxes. If you have copies of the old OHR 200 / Change of Status form saved with a revision date before Feb. 12, 2018, discard them and begin using the new HR 200 / Change of Status form at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6240. Those using the older form after April 1, 2018, will have it returned to them for correction.
