5th Annual Gender & Sexuality Conference registration is open
We are very pleased with the variety of presentations and workshops submitted this year focusing on topics related to intersectionality, gender expression, media representations and institutional connections, and presenters representing campuses across the state. Our featured speaker this year will be Kimberly Hoang. Her presentation at 4 p.m. is named after her book "Dealing in Desire: Asian Ascendancy, Western Decline, and the Hidden Currencies of Global Sex Work."
The full agenda with session descriptions will be added to the Facebook event soon, so be sure to follow us at: https://www.facebook.com/events/164932774103148/.
The conference, co-sponsored by the Department of Sociology, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Elliott School of Communication and Shocker SOC Club at Wichita State University, with partial funding from Student Government Association, is free and open to all students, faculty and staff from Kansas Board of Regents, affiliated colleges and universities as well as the Wichita community.
Please share this information widely with faculty, staff, students or others who may be interested in attending.
