* Three WSU researchers and a student group have been awarded the 2018 John A. See Innovation Award, totaling $36,000. The faculty winners are Li Yao, Ryan Amick and Scott Miller. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6290 for more information.
* Airbus and WSU are partnering with organizations around the globe in an international effort to break a Guinness World Record. Join "Help Launch the World Record" at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, March 8) at the RSC east entrance and patio to support the Women of Aviation Worldwide Week. Registration will be available 10:30-10:55 a.m. on March 8.
* The Center for Leadership Development (Community Engagement Institute) and the WSU Leadership Academy will offer four leadership development workshops in April. Each workshop will run from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. There is no cost to participate. A light continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Each workshop has an enrollment cap. * The SGA Educational Opportunity Fund and Student Fee Committees will hold deliberations from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, March 9, in 233 RSC.
* The Call for Abstracts for the 2018 Undergraduate and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) is now open. This year's forum will be held Friday, April 6, in the RSC, and provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students at WSU to present their scholarly and creative activity to a faculty, student and community audience, while competing for cash awards. * The WSU Parking Quiz is available at http://www.wichita.edu/parkingquiz. This quiz covers the WSU Parking Rules and Regulations and is designed to provide information about commonly misunderstood parking policies. Those who receive a citation may be able to have the citation forgiven in exchange for completing the quiz (with the exception of citations for Parking in Reserved or Handicap Parking). Please note: This will only affect citations issued on or after March 1, 2018.
