* The English Department is hosting "Applying for Graduate School" at 3 p.m. today (Friday, March 9) in 100 Lindquist Hall, for students interested in pursuing an advanced degree in English--composition and rhetoric, literature, linguistics, or creative writing. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to attend.

* Student Activities Council (SAC) will host world-touring DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Pena for "Narcos: The DEA Agents That Captured Pablo Escobar," at 7 p.m. today (Friday, March 9) in Hughes Metropolitan Complex. * Interested in growing as a leader? Looking to make an impact on campus? Want to meet other student leaders? Apply now to attend this week-long experience that will allow you to grow as a leader and expand upon your leadership skills and abilities. * The 6th Annual Shocker Leadership Awards is a way to recognize the work of student-led organizations, students, faculty and staff at Wichita State. One application form must be completed for every award in which one wishes to be considered. A nomination must have all parts to be considered by the selection committee. It is the responsibility of the nominator to turn in a complete packet. All forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, April 13, to Student Involvement in 216 RSC. * The Call for Abstracts for the 2018 Undergraduate and Creative Activity Forum (URCAF) is now open. This year's forum will be held Friday, April 6, in the RSC, and provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students at Wichita State to present their scholarly and creative activities to a faculty, student and community audience, while competing for cash awards. * If you need help with filing your taxes, feel free to visit the Office of Student Money Management in 115 Neff Hall. We are open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the tax help is free. * Interested in becoming a student leader on campus? The Student Activities Council (SAC) is seeking chairperson and officer positions for the 2018-19 academic year.
