* KMUW's Engage ICT: Democracy on Tap is a monthly community conversation featuring a panel of local experts. March's topic is Public Safety. You're invited to attend at 5:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, March 13) at Roxy's Downtown, 412 1/2 E. Douglas. Admission is free.
* The W4 form for 2018 has been added to the Student, Grad, Lecturer and Unclassified Professional Temp hiring packets. Also, WSU Policies and Procedures 9.10/Intellectual Property and Institutional Procedures, which defines disclosure, ownership and sharing of profits, requires all new hires complete the Acknowledgment - Patent Ownership form and the New Employee - Intellectual Property Questionnaire. Failure of new hires to complete these forms will place WSU out of compliance with internal policies. The updated packets are available for download from the Office of Human Resources website at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6292. For questions about processing the forms, email timekeeping@wichita.edu.
* The President's Distinguished Service Awards and the unclassified professionals' Wayne Carlisle Distinguished Service Award will be presented during the Shocker Pride Celebration Wednesday, April 11, in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom. third floor, RSC. There will be a reception to meet and greet the honorees at 3 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 3:30 p.m.

* The planning step for 2018-19 annual evaluations for USS and non-teaching UP employees is available in myPerformance. Managers should meet with their employees to discuss expectations on competencies and goals and submit within myPerformance before Saturday, March 31.
