* Register now for the Badminton Tournament on Wednesday, March 14, in the Heskett Center. Sign up and prices are available at http://www.wichita.edu/sac. Check-in is at 5:30 p.m. and the tournament starts at 6 p.m. The tournament is sponsored by Student Activities Council.
* The Office of First-Year Programs is seeking nominations for books to be considered for the WSU Reads program. WSU Reads is the university's common read program designed to spark conversation between students across majors on campus. * Student Support Services (SSS) provides free services to students from first-generation and limited-income backgrounds as well as students with disabilities. * All students are invited to a town hall discussion about possible accelerated or bridge programs to law school from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, April 2, in 126 Clinton Hall. Join Dean Ron Matson, Dean Kimberly Engber and interested advisors and faculty to review sample information about an accelerated program to University of Kansas, and sample plans of study that would organize classes to allow students an opportunity year or senior year of study off campus. * Help WSU and the national McBEE campus consortium strengthen data-driven practices in regard to campus safety by completing the WSU / McBEE Campus Safety Survey, accessed through the myWSU portal now through Saturday, April 7. Students participating in the research will be entered into one of two drawings for $250 scholarships and $50 Amazon gift cards. All current WSU students age 18 and older are eligible to complete the survey.
* The 6th Annual Shocker Leadership Awards is a way to recognize the work of student-led organizations, students, faculty and staff at Wichita State. One application form must be completed for every award in which one wishes to be considered. A nomination must have all parts to be considered by the selection committee. It is the responsibility of the nominator to turn in a complete packet. All forms must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday, April 13, to Student Involvement in 216 RSC.
