TRIO Student Support Services Annual Student Recognition & Award Ceremony on April 19

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Student Support Services program, which has guided millions of students and their families through the college preparation and application process. Student Support Services was established in the 1968 reauthorization of the Higher Education Act, which established President Lyndon B. Johnson's goal of seeing that "no American talent is wasted."

It is time to recognize that talent at the Annual Student Recognition & Award Ceremony and celebrate 50 years of TRIO Student Support Services dedication to supporting academic excellence from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in the Gridley Room, RSC.

We commend our students for persisting in their college journey and want to reward them with recognition, free lunch and door prizes. Our come-and-go event will present some encouraging words from VP of Diversity & Community Engagement Marche Fleming-Randle, Associate VP of Non-Traditional Students Deltha Q. Colvin and Student Support Services Director Kennedy Musamali. Come celebrate our student's accomplishments and commemorate this milestone with us. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?6310 to RSVP.
